If you want to order a custom porch pot from Vermeer’s, we will not accept plastic pots, inserts, or decorations until Monday, November 3rd, 2025.
Call ahead to reserve your porch pot date! Please provide your name, phone number, desired pickup/delivery date, and tell us how many custom porch pots you want to order. We receive a high volume of custom porch pot orders, so we encourage you to reserve your date ASAP!
🔔 Save your 10″ or 12″ plastic fall mum pots or summer planter inserts with their rooted soil! We will charge extra if you do not bring in plastic inserts. Prices will vary depending on the size and the style of the insert chosen.
🔔 Cut the plants in your plastic inserts down to the soil level. Leave the soil and roots in place, but remove any leftover leaves or stems. Placing fresh greens into a pot with existing roots and soil results in a sturdier, longer-lasting porch pot.
🔔 Evaluate your plastic inserts, ensuring the rim goes over the edge of the decorative pots you are placing them in. Your fresh greens will not sit nicely if your plastic inserts are too small or too large. Also, make sure your plastic inserts are not cracked!
🔔 Sort through your decorations (ornaments, cones, ribbon, etc.) and decide what you want to use this year in your porch pots. Do not bring in any old dogwood, curly willow, magnolia/dried greens, or worn/broken decorations to be reused.
🔔 Test any electric or battery-operated lights you would like incorporated into your custom porch pots to confirm they work properly. Bring in batteries if you are using battery-operated lights. We will charge extra for batteries if they are not provided.
🔔 Label your plastic inserts and the container/bag with your porch pot decorations before bringing them to Vermeer’s. On the label, please write your first and last name, as well as your phone number.
